This is a clinical examination during which the endocrinologist investigates possible endocrine disorders such as:
- hormonal and metabolic dysfunctions;
- fertility and nutrition disorders;
- thyroid tumours, both benign and malignant.
WHAT IS IT FOR?
The endocrinological examination serves to indicate the diagnostic tests (biochemical, genetic, instrumental) to identify the endocrine disease and to prescribe the appropriate therapy.
HOW DOES THE ENDOCRINOLOGICAL EXAMINATION TAKE PLACE?
The examination takes place through an interview and objective examination of the patient. It is a painless procedure.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
The endocrinological examination takes about 20-30 minutes.
