From May 2009: Head of the Rehabilitation Medicine Section of the San Giuseppe Hospital (Piancavallo) that pertains to the OSTEO-articular Unit specialising in physiatry.

CURRICULUM VITAE: 

Dr. Brunani worked in the Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases Division of the Istituto Auxologico Italiano, in the Piancavallo facility from June 1998.

Dr. Brunani was appointed as Head Physician aid in the same Division from November 1990; the Division subsequently specialised in Metabolic Rehabilitation, in particular, treating patients suffering from severe essential obesity complicated by endocrinological, cardiological, pneumological and orthopedic diseases.

In this role Dr. Brunani gained experience in managing the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-9), Diagnosis Related Groups (DRG) and Major Diagnostic Categories (MDC). Clinically Dr. Brunani participated in preparing diagnostic/therapeutic/care protocols (diagnostic and therapeutic care paths - DTCPs) for patients suffering from essential and complicated diabetes. Dr. Brunani also works in the Endocrinology outpatients clinic.

CORGESAN – Course of Organisation and Management in Healthcare - SDA Bocconi University – Milan.
Dr. Brunani studied in the endocrinological field (pituitary adenomas), hormonal abnormalities in obese patients, in particular, insulin-resistance (and headed a research project completed in 2004).

In recent years Dr. Brunani has been specialising in disabilities associated with obesity and is currently collaborating with the Disability Network (Besta Institute, Milan).
